This time of year I am preparing for my winter retreat.
This winter I am going into hibernation on October 15 and will crawl out into the light again by the first of May.
What it means to me is that I am being even more of an introvert, living more in silence, doing more zazen(zen meditation) and yoga and focus on the process. I reduce my contact with other people even more than I already am. I try to keep the newsreading at a minimum and not do things on the internet that does not have to do with what I try to do. Distractions is one great obstacle with spiritual practice, as we all know.
In my life in general, I am working myself into cycles, large and small, working with schedules to simplify my life and make it smaller on outside and larger on inside.
I have a clear vision on what kind of life I am working towards.
It is in many ways a struggle, but I am compassionate towards myself, or I would never get there.
It takes time, but this moment is what I have anyway, I can rest with that.
So, as I continue my preparations for the winter, I would also like to celebrate where I am in my life in this moment, and I want to share it with you with a sale in my shop, giving you 40% off the price.
It will last until October 15, when my winter retreat begins.
My shop will still be open though. I am planning to continue my work in the spirit of dana (buddhist term meaning generosity).
Speaking of dana, each one of you who make a purchase during the sale period will participate in a giveaway as well. The receiver, as well as the gift, will be announced on October 16.
And keep your eyes open, big changes will come...
